RAID: Shadow Legends started as a mobile game, but it runs well on a computer and plenty of players use both. The confusing part is that there are several ways to get it on PC, and the one you pick decides how your account is tied together. Here’s what to know before you install.
Where you can download RAID on PC
Plarium’s official game page lists four PC storefronts:
- Plarium Play, Plarium’s own launcher, for Windows and macOS. This is where the PC version first appeared.
- Steam, where RAID has been listed since January 2024.
- Epic Games Store.
- Microsoft Store.
It’s the same game and the same servers whichever you choose. On every store it’s free to play, with in-game purchases.
Which one to pick? If you have no account yet, choose the launcher you already use. If you already play on mobile, Plarium Play is the simplest route, because it’s where your Plarium account lives (more on that below).
What your PC needs
RAID is a light game by modern standards. The requirements published on Steam and on Plarium’s page are:
| Minimum | Recommended | |
|---|---|---|
| OS | Windows 10 (21H1) or Windows 11 (21H2) | Windows 10 21H1 or newer (x64), Windows 11 21H2 or newer (Arm64) |
| Processor | x86/x64 with SSE2, or Arm64 | x86/x64 with SSE2, or Arm64 |
| Memory | 8 GB RAM | 8 GB RAM |
| Graphics | DirectX 11 or Vulkan-capable GPU | DirectX 11 or newer, or Vulkan |
| Storage | 5 GB | 8 GB |
Two details stand out. There’s no specific graphics card listed, so most laptops from the last several years with integrated graphics should cope. And Arm64 is supported on Windows 11, which covers Arm laptops. On Mac, Plarium lists macOS Monterey 12 or newer, on both Apple Silicon and Intel.
Keeping one account across PC and mobile
Your progress belongs to your Plarium account (Plarium ID), not to a device or a store. Plarium has said since the PC launch that mobile players can sign in with their Plarium ID on PC and carry on with the same champions and progress.
In practice:
- On mobile, register your account with a Plarium ID first if you haven’t, from the in-game settings.
- On PC, sign in with that same Plarium ID instead of starting a new game.
- Check your champion list before you spend anything, to confirm it’s the right account.
Steam is the one to be careful with. When RAID arrived on Steam, Plarium’s community manager pinned a post explaining how to link an existing Plarium account to Steam and transfer progress, with a video walkthrough. A Plarium community manager later told a player that the link has to be made through the Plarium Play app. Players on the Steam forums also report that a Steam account linked to the wrong Plarium ID needed a support ticket to fix. So:
- If you already have progress, link your Plarium ID before you play on Steam, following Plarium’s pinned guide.
- Don’t create a fresh account on Steam if you mean to keep your mobile one.
Tips for playing on a computer
- Bigger screen, same game. Menus, gear comparisons and team building are easier with a mouse and a large screen, which is where many players do their planning.
- Battles can run on auto, so the PC version suits leaving a farming run going while you do something else in another window.
- Emulators aren’t needed. You’ll see guides for running the Android version in an emulator. With a native Windows and Mac version available, that just adds a layer, and running multiple copies at once may break the game’s terms.
Is it worth installing on PC?
If you already enjoy RAID on your phone, the PC version is a clear upgrade for managing gear and teams, as long as you sign in with your existing Plarium ID. If you’re new, the PC version is a low-commitment way to try it: it’s free, small and runs on modest hardware. Steam’s own review score sits around “Mixed”, which matches what we said in our full look at whether RAID is worth playing: it’s a long-term collection game with heavy monetization, so set a budget before you start.
